Unit representations fairly accurate, only thing is that Space Marine Drop Pods aren't block shaped, they're sort of salt shaker shaped with doors that flop down on all sides, if you've never played WH40K: Dawn of War .

It appals me how the US, let alone any country can have the power to boss around another sovereign nation. The US has long been a meddler in other people's affairs, and this is just an example of that.
First of all, the US has no say over the Taiwan issue. If Hawaii suddenly decided to declare independance, obviously the US wouldn't be very happy about it. If Mexico or some other random country were to actually help Hawaii to secede using overwhelming military might, the US may well view it as an act of war. It is both ignorant and insensitive for the US to interfere with the Taiwan situation. The frickin island calls itself the Republic of China anyway.
Secondly, world leaders today are never going to be stupid enough to use nuclear weapons. However dumb or prideful you think the Chinese are, everyone understands the implications of MAD - Mutually Assured Destruction. It is understood that any nuclear strike would result in massive nuclear world war and a deadly nuclear winter. Noone would strike with a single nuke- if anything, the entire country could be incinerated.
Tens of thousands of Americans live in China, as well as billions of dollars of american investment. Any war with China would cause a huge economic backlash that will completely destroy the US economy.
Thirdly you are assuming that China will actually lose. I can tell you that this will be far from certain. If you do not realise, China has the largest army in the world. You may think that with technological gadgetry and weapons the US is sure to win, but keep in mind that most of China's armory has been purchased from Europe. This is no Iraq war the US will be fighting. the US simply does not have the military might to launch an attack, especially over such a long distance. Any mass invasion would require huge transport fleets, which would easily be massacred by bombers or long range missiles. Paratrooping, provided air cover is bypassed, will never drop enough troops to conquer the whole of China. The Chinese would fight a guerilla war 10 times worse than Iraq.
The Chinese has an intense nationalistic spirit, and they will enlist in droves to defend their homeland from yet another attack by a foreign power. The US might as well go and invade France. The UN repercussions of a direct attack on China would impose massive sanctions on both sides probably, but there is no way in hell NATO or any other 'ally' nations would support an invasion.
It sickens me that anyone can portray war in such a frivolous and biased manner. Americans have always portrayed other countries, especially with ideologies different from their own with little respect. It is always assumed that China, or some other communist country is the 'bad' guy and will perform dishonourably. In truth we are no worse than yourselves.
